Product Overview

Our Neem Kernel Cake is the traditional, minimally processed residue from the cold-pressing of the Neem kernel (Azadirachta indica). Presented in its dense, irregular, compressed form (often referred to as 'slab' or 'flaked cake'), this product is engineered by nature for maximum longevity in the soil. It provides all the benefits of Neem in a durable format that breaks down slowly, acting as a foundational, long-term soil amendment and a persistent defense against subterranean pests.

🧱 Neem Kernel Cake (Slab Form): Deep Soil Enrichment and Enduring Protection

  1. ⏳ Longest Sustained Release: The dense, compressed structure of the cake ensures the slowest decomposition rate among all Neem formats (powder, pellets). This guarantees nutrient and protective compound release for an entire growing season or longer.

  2. 🛡️ Concentrated Root Zone Protection: Retaining the powerful natural limonoids of the kernel, this coarse cake delivers a concentrated, long-term dose of natural biocontrol agents directly to the root zone, effectively managing nematodes, white grubs, and other soil-borne pests.

  3. 💪 Superior Soil Builder: These hard, coarse chunks slowly break down to contribute substantial, stable organic matter to the soil. This significantly improves soil texture, aeration, and water-holding capacity, especially in heavy or compacted soils.

  4. 🔄 Nitrogen Efficiency Enhancer: The natural compounds in Neem Kernel Cake help inhibit the nitrification process in the soil, preventing Nitrogen loss and ensuring that all applied Nitrogen (from this cake or other fertilizers) remains available to the plant for longer periods.

The hard, pressed slab structure is the natural result of pressing the oil from the kernels with minimal subsequent processing. This form is specifically chosen to provide the slowest possible nutrient release and the maximum longevity in the soil.

The Cake (Slab) is the slowest of the Neem formats. Its dense structure requires a much longer time to decompose, providing continuous feeding for an entire season, whereas Pellets break down faster.

It is rich in balanced N-P-K and micronutrients and acts as a foundational fertilizer and soil conditioner. For plants needing a rapid nutrient boost, it should be supplemented with a quicker-release organic fertilizer.

The slabs should be crushed or broken into smaller chunks and mixed thoroughly into the soil or planting pit. It is best to incorporate it deep into the soil rather than leaving it on the surface.

Due to its ultra-slow-release rate, reapplication is typically only required once every 3 to 5 months or once per growing season, depending on the crop and soil type.

Yes, especially for large or permanent containers. Mix small crushed pieces into the lower layer of the potting medium during transplanting to provide long-term feeding and root protection.

It is highly effective. The continuous, prolonged release of Neem's protective compounds (limonoids) from the hard cake material provides sustained deterrence against soil-borne threats.

The coarse nature of the cake is beneficial, even in clay soil. As it decomposes, it introduces stable organic matter that physically helps to loosen dense clay and improve aeration and drainage.

It may have a slightly more pronounced, raw, earthy aroma than the processed pellets. This smell is a natural characteristic of unrefined Neem material and will dissipate quickly once buried in the soil.

Store the cake in a dry, cool area in an airtight container. The slabs are very durable and will last a long time if kept dry.
